Thank you to Vuzh Music‘s C. Reider for having included Frequency Drift on the year-end list of notable netlabel releases. And for the astute comment on the music. Reider’s own music is always stimulating and solidly grounded–if you haven’t checked it out yet, please do.
Tomorrow night NVS Trio–Gary Rouzer, Jeff Surak and I–are at Rhizome in Takoma Park: Double bass, cello, detuned zither, snare drum, and lots of stuff on the floor. We’re looking forward to hearing the duo of Biliana Voutchkova (violin) and Michael Thieke (clarinet), who will be playing as well.
