From the Start-ups show at Dance Exchange, a video of Ken Manheimer‘s piece An Unofficial History of Never. For until the official history comes out…
Video by Slingshot Video.
This past Saturday evening at Dance Exchange, Ken Manheimer and I had the pleasure of performing his Duet, as part of a program by the Nancy Havlik Dance Performance Group.
With thanks to Denaise Seals of Slingshot Video.
Raquel Lake of the DC Dance Journalism Project has a nice review of the 5×5 show, which included a performance of Nancy Havlik’s Deux for two dancers (Ken Manheimer and Sandra Roachford) and double bass.

A nice image of Ken Manheimer and Hannah Whitley overlapping during the Dance Loft on 14 performance.

A stimulating evening with members of the Nancy Havlik Dance Performance Group and guests at Dance Loft on 14 last night. Gary Rouzer (pictured), Nate Scheible and I provided sound for a set of improvisations and an extemporaneously choreographed piece based on a brief text.
Video of Ken Manheimer’s Duet for dancer and double bass is now on youtube. Thanks to David Dowling of Is It Modern for videography and to the Nancy Havlik Dance Performance Group.
I reunite with the Nancy Havlik Dance Performance Group for a duet with Ken Manheimer on Saturday May 9 @ 8 PM in the Jack Guidone Theater at Joy of Motion 5207 Wisconsin Avenue NW Washington DC 20015. The performance is part of Blossom, a program of new and recent work by the Havlik group and guest artist Tia Nina.
