Colla Parte at Pyramid Atlantic, 5 July 2014

A photograph of Colla Parte playing a benefit for the Pyramid Atlantic art center, an essential institution for visual art and sound art alike. This was the second set of the evening; the first set was an improvisation for trio (Sam Byrd on percussion and objects, Jimmy Ghaphery on alto saxophone, flute and tape, and me on prepared double bass) and dancers Page Ghaphery, Ken Manheimer and Jose Dominguez–who also happens to be Pyramid’s Executive Director. An excerpt from the performance is here.
