exchange of sound by an open window

Playing by an open window or outdoors is something I’ve enjoyed doing. The nature of the performance is porous, allowing external sounds to seep in. The consequent exchange of sounds between inside and outside can be provocative, each putting the other in its own light. Harold Schellinx has done the same with a multi-tracked violin performance; Perfect Sound Forever has just published my consideration of his piece and of porous performances in general.
